ADULT VERSES

As part of training, students will have to memorize Bible verses and will be asked for them at the beginning of each belt testing. If a student does not know his or her verses - the test is over without passing to the next rank. Verses must start with “Sir,” and end with “Sir.”

The following verses are for all students 12 and under, white belt to 5th green belts. Verses are to be memorized three at each testing until the student knows all the verses:

1) And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. Luke 6:31

2) Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord but also in sight of men. 2nd Corinthians. 8:21

3) But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:25

*BONUS VERSE: Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isaish 1: 18

4) Let all your things be done with charity. 1Corinthians 16:14

5) He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. Proverbs 25:28

6) Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the loving kindness of the Lord. Psalms 107:43

*BONUS VERSE: Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God 1st Corinthians 6: 9, 10

7) Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. Proverbs 4:1

8) Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity 1st Timothy 4:12

9) Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. Titus 2:6

*BONUS VERSE: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemmed already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:18

10) See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. Ephesians 5:15

11) My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20,22

12) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13
