CHILD VERSES

As part of training, students will have to memorize Bible verses and will be asked for them at the beginning of each belt testing. If a student does not know his or her verses - the test is over without passing to the next rank. Verses must start with “Sir,” and end with “Sir.”

The following verses are for all students 12 and under, white belt to 5th green belts. Verses are to be memorized three at each testing until the student knows all the verses:

1) It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man Psalms 118:8

2) Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. Proverbs 30:5

3) Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

4) In hope of eternal life which God, that cannot lie,promised before the world began. Titus 1:2

5) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

6) Children obey your parents in the Lord; for this is right. Ephesians 6:1

7) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

8) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

9) As for God, His word is perfect. Psalms 18:30

10) Know ye that the Lord He is God: it is He that made us, and not we ourselves. Psalms 100:3

11) Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee. Psalms 119:11
